LEADERSHIP AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT (LEADR 262)

In a VUCA world, organizations face enormous adaptive pressures. Globalization, technological advances, and competition have forced organizations to continuously consider new ways of competing. The current pandemic, and tomorrow’s climate challenge, add layers of complication to this. Managing human capital has become a critical aspect of an organization’s ability to survive and thrive during these times. After all, it is its employees that generate the key insights, develop the products and services, and provide excellent customer service. Employees implement the organization’s strategy to distinguish it in the competitive marketplace. The first part of this course will introduce the student to the individual, interpersonal, and organizational factors that affect human behavior in organizations. The second part of the course will focus on leadership competencies in developing an organizational culture aligned with company strategic goals and managing change.
