This module introduces fundamental mathematics concepts, including various techniques and formulations necessary to implement models and algorithms in data science and machine learning. In addition, students should familiarize themselves with the different concepts, notations, and algorithms on which most data science models and techniques are based.

Students will also learn various techniques for interpreting mathematical models of real-world systems and phenomena. Although heavily foundational, the course equally asserts the extraction of valuable insights for data science and AI applications.
