The AIM Aboitiz School of Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (ASITE) hosted a virtual mixer entitled CONNECTed for ASITE students, alumni, faculty, and staff on 2 June 2021. This mixer is part of a series of networking events to foster engagement and build strong relationships among ASITE students and alumni.
This mixer marks the launch of ASITE Spotlight Inspiring Stories, where engaging stories that highlight members, whose work can inspire and empower the ASITE community are shared.
The event’s featured speaker was Jose Magsaysay, Chairman Emeritus of Potato Corner and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at AIM. Also present were the new staff members and new students for the Innovation and Business, and PhD in Data Science cohorts.
Magsaysay recounted his experiences growing his company, Potato Corner. He shares how he managed to pull his business out of the Asian financial crisis with the skills he learned through the Master in Entrepreneurship program.
“AIM gave me a lot of confidence. I always say to everybody, don’t change. Know who you are and become better,” he concludes.
The mixer also enabled students from different cohorts to get to network and connect through small breakout sessions.
ASITE alumni and students are invited to attend the upcoming mixer to be hosted by the Master in Data Science Class of 2022, on 28 October 2021 at 7:30 PM (+08 GMT). To register, join the ASITE Community on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/asitecommunity/.
