Prof. Gaston “Titos” Ortigas is the incumbent Academic Program Director of the Master in Entrepreneurship, and the Curriculum Review and Assurance of Learning Committee Chair.

As an AIM veteran for over 30 years, Prof. Ortigas has held several leadership positions in the past. He was previously the Academic Program Director for the Master in Management (MM) and Master in Business Management (MBM) programs, and more recently, the Executive MBA (EMBA) program.

Aside from being an AIM professor, Prof. Ortigas is also a consultant and a strategic planner for both government and private institutions involved in the information and communications technology sector, hospitality management and general food-based trading companies. Furthermore, he is a director, a co-founder, and a mentor of several companies, social enterprises, and startups. He is a Member of the Philippine Computer Society and was also the Chair of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Information Technology Technical Panel.

His expertise lies in strategic planning, business model design and innovation, entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, operations management, total quality management, business process reengineering, electronic commerce, and electronic governance. His research interests include social entrepreneurship, sustainable development, cultural tourism, blended learning management and electronic governance. His past action research has been in the areas of development management, managing arts and cultural institutions, electronic commerce, and knowledge management.

Prof. Ortigas has earned his Master in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management and earned his Bachelor in Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
